If you’ve been enjoying Muy Mal, you can do so in a whole new way with the all-new podcast!
New to podcasting? The concept is fairly simple: you download mp3 audio files, dump ‘em on a portable player like an iPod (thus the “podcasting” moniker), and give it a listen. It’s that simple.
Do you need a portable player? Nah. The same links will let you play the files right from your browser, or download them to your computer to listen to at your leisure.
The first episode is the audio reading of “An Empire Falls” from Asphalt & Alchemy: Down Vendetta Road. John Roling actually read the piece for me, and he’ll continue to record DVR episodes for the foreseeable future. You can download the file directly from this link. I plan to start recording Bastard Precinct episodes myself soon.
The nice thing about podcasting is they’re set up with RSS feeds to make them easy for fans to follow. So, if you’d like to follow the podcast feeds and skip the text feeds, you can simply pass this link to you favorite feed reader or podcatching client.
Meanwhile, Muy Mal made it to one more podcast this week, as fellow Muy Mal contributor Weston Ochse was interviewed by Mark Justice for Pod of Horror #8. Weston lays out a bit more about what Muy Mal is and how it came to be, and is well worth checking out. (And hey, Mark also interviewed bad-ass actor Danny Trejo! Way cool.)
Keep an eye on HorrorReader.com for the next Pod of Horror in early February. It’s gonna be a good ‘un.
