This wasn’t half bad for a “hearty, gutsy” cigar, and for once the maker’s description isn’t just hype. The smoke came on smooth and thick, with a pleasant flavor that reminded me a bit of the Oro I smoked a couple of weeks ago: dark and mild, rich, but otherwise unremarkable.
I had this one while visiting the folks, and I sat on the front porch. The smoke drifted in through a nearby window, and the wife and my mom both said it smelled good. It’s always a good thing when the wife doesn’t think the smoke smells nasty, or when the cigar doesn’t remind my mom of the “stinky Italian ropes” my grandfather used to smoke.
