Microsoft Doing Happy Dance

I just read on Groklaw that popular Open Source developer and advocate Jeremy Allison has quit his position at Novell to protest the Microsoft partnership. He makes a good point in saying it really doesn’t matter what Novell does or why, they will always be the bad guys as far as the Linux crew are concerned.

Yet another bite as Linux continues to eat itself. I imagine it’s somewhere between the ankles and knees about now.

I imagine Steve Ballmer is sitting in a dimly-lit office, steepling his fingers and saying “excellent” under his breath.
