(Brian’s fans sent him a number of cigars, but it should be noted he doesn’t have a humidor. He intends to rectify this, but if you want to send your favorite authors smokes, invest in one of those humidor bags to protect them for him.)
One thing this cigar did make me realize is that it’s nice to have company while smoking a cigar. Yes, it’s good to sit outside and enjoy some quiet time, but there’s also a cool social feel to sitting in a group and shooting the breeze with a cloud of smoke swirling overhead. Maybe it’s as simple as keeping the hands busy enough to keep the brain and the mouth moving, or maybe it’s the tobacco that loosens the tongue and relieves the stress.
Either way, it’s a refreshing change from the ordinary.

My daughter and son-in-law sent me a box of CAOs for Christmas; surely one of the nicest gifts I’ve ever been given.

Nice! No matter the brand, I’d say a box of smokes is a mighty fine Xmas gift. I’m jealous!
