…do not use UPS Mail Innovations. I’ve seen media mail from the post office move faster than this crap.
I purchased an item from Buy.com, but the product itself came from another vendor. That’s all well and good, but that vendor shipped my product via UPS-MI. Near as I can tell, all this service entails is UPS picking up the package and then delivering it to the post office.
What possible good this is supposed to do beyond offering a cheap-ass delivery option that moves at the pace of snail shit in winter is beyond me.
My package was shipped on January 24th and the vendor sent me a tracking number. Near as I can tell, the package left New Jersey and has been sitting in Kansas City, MO since the 27th. That same date says the post office in Peoria, IL received electronic notification that the package was coming. Nothing since.
So where’s my package? Sitting in a UPS sorting facility? Sitting at the Peoria post office? Sitting in a big bin that says “UPS-MI — Wait One Week for Delivery Because the Schmuck Bought Cheap Shipping”?
Unbelievable. All because I wanted to save a buck and a half by using a Buy.com “please come back” coupon.
Lesson learned? Shop Tiger Direct instead. Even when I buy the cheaper three-day shipping, I’m close enough that my stuff comes next day anyway.

Don’t worry so much. Those shipping things only say Here and then There, and you might look tomorrow to find out it’s in Illinois, and then get home and find out it’s been delivered.
Tracking, I’ve found, is mostly useless–unless something goes wrong, I guess.

It’s not so much the fact that the tracking is off as it is that the package is just NOT HERE yet. As I said, media rate through the USPS doesn’t take this long. It’s like they let the package sit simply to prolong it’s journey only because you didn’t pay for fast shipping.
