Beware the Cookie

Plate of Evil

The fitness kick is going strong. The wife baked up a plate of cookies, but so far I’ve been able to avoid munching out on them. Only one all day today, but I felt I earned it after both karate class and weight lifting.

Looking back at my record for the month, I see I’ve only had four days where I didn’t do some type of exercise, or less than a third of the time. I can live with that.

A couple people have commented I look a little slimmer, despite not seeing a tremendous difference on the scale. I thought it was a perception thing due to my picking up a few shirts that fit me better and/or a false perception based on the amount of exercise I’m doing. But when I picked up the measuring tape and compared the waist-to-hip measurements I took in January to the first one this month, I did see a difference. A small difference, but it was there. Maybe tomorrow the trend will continue.

I also weigh in for the Biggest Loser at work tomorrow. Here’s hoping my teammates can keep up.
