Superheroes Everywhere

I found a link on Boing Boing to a self-styled superhero in Phoenix named Citizen Prime. I glanced at his friends list, and it looks like nearly all of them (one is a comics publisher) are super heroes as well. Who knew the tights crowd was so trendy? Do all of them run around on patrol at night, or are most of them just comics and/or RPG geeks?

A news story about him says he mostly helps people out where he can, and uses a phone to call emergency services when needed. He carries a nightstick, a beanbag stun gun, and other non-lethal weapons, but hasn’t had to use them. If he’s helping people out, more power to him.

I have to wonder, though, how long it will be before one of these guys gets overzealous or does something stupid, possibly getting someone (and not necessarily themselves) killed in the process. I can already picture the lawyers sharpening their teeth.
