Join the Evileye Book Club

This week, Evileye Books announced their new Book Club. If you’re a fan of The Pack: Winter Kill and are looking for fine, collectible hardcover editions of it and forthcoming titles by Cullen Bunn, John Urbancik, Mark Justice, or Orrin Grey, you will definitely want to be a member.

How do you become a member? Simple. Just send your name, mailing address, and Twitter handle (if you’ve got one) to and tell ’em you’re interested. There’s no commitment, you’ll just be notified when these hardcovers are available and one will be reserved for you if you choose.

Here’s the full lowdown, straight from the main man at Evileye, Mr Ommus:

One of the paradoxical effects of the digital age is that printed books are becoming both a low-margin commodity for the masses, and a rarity for those readers looking to find books that are well-designed and enhance the reading experience.

Digital technologies and the Internet allow publishers and authors alike to push more printed books through distribution channels—established and alternative alike. The result is a handful of some decently made books, but mostly a glut of badly made, half-baked ones, all stuffed into the same sardine can. Inevitably, the focus becomes the price rather than the content. For a publisher that cares about bookmaking and the quality of stories, this market is challenging, to say the least. Frankly, we would prefer not to be in it.

With that proverbial rock and hard place as our backdrop, we have decided to launch our own book club. The idea is to offer all our limited edition hardcovers and special offers exclusively to readers that opt in to the club. Members will receive exclusive discounts and access to products not offered to the general public, with products delivered directly from our workshop.

The first books in the line up are Cullen Bunn’s Crooked Hills (from our young readers imprint, Earwig Press), Mike Oliveri’s The Pack: Winter Kill, and volume one of our new annual anthology, The Burning Maiden, which features New York Times bestsellers and fan favorites T.C. Boyle, Sarah Langan, Joe R. Lansdale, Matthew Pearl, Bruce Boston, Louis Bayard, and more. These will all be limited edition hardcovers, certified and limited to less than 250 units each. Information and offer details will be sent out in June to the membership only.

To sign up, simply send your name, mailing address and twitter handle to:

Jump in now, folks. You’ll be glad you did.

About Mike Oliveri

Mike Oliveri is a writer, martial artist, cigar aficionado, motorcyclist, and family man, but not necessarily in that order. He is currently hard at work on the werewolf noir series The Pack for Evileye Books.

What’s up with the anthology? Joe

  2. Aaron says:

The Burning Maiden anthology is now being designed (covers, book block, etc.). The website is live at, and pre-order interest can be sent to us via the site order form. We are also launching a multi-point ad campaign in the coming weeks. As we get closer, we will be sending out postcard mailers as well. Additional info can be found at or at our news blog,
