Say WHAT?!

Tuesday, January 10th, 2006

In this article about Supreme Court nominee Judge Samuel Alito, I found this:
Sen. Mike DeWine, an Ohio Republican, asked Alito about Congress’ ability to pass laws on Internet pornography, which he said deserved a lower level of protection under the First Amendment.
Beep beep, back the truck up. I know it’s been a while since my [...]

If I Had Money…

Tuesday, January 10th, 2006

…I’d spend it on a brand spanking new Apple MacBook Pro.
I still don’t know that I am or could be an OS X geek, though with it’s Unix base I’m intensely curious. And that laptop is damn drool-worthy.

Better Than Mouse Hunt

Monday, January 9th, 2006

Ever see the movie Mouse Hunt? Nathan Lane, some lanky, goofy guy, and Christopher Walken? It’s like a live-action Tom & Jerry cartoon, where this mouse keeps getting the best of the two pinheads (Lane and other guy) who own this old house and an exterminator (Walken).

RFID

Sunday, January 8th, 2006

There’s been a lot of debate lately about radio frequency identification (RFID) tags. Supporters want to put them everywhere from grocery store labels to under your skin. My dad found an article about a guy who got one implanted to make his life easier. I sent him a long response on why I’m skeptical. I’ll [...]

John Madden: Football Philosopher

Commentary following the Patriots game:
“I think a champion is a champion until you beat ‘em on the field.”
Wow, that’s… deep.

Gravedigging for Ideas

Thursday, January 5th, 2006

No, not me. Tim Lebbon. Well, sorta.
He discusses where he got the idea for Berserk in this essay.

Thanks!

Thursday, January 5th, 2006

Just quick thanks to Nate and Joe for helping us pimp Muy Mal.
Thanks as well to those of you who have been stopping by; the response has been tremendous, and rest assured, there will be more work up there very soon!
