Robot to Probe Center of Earth
Wednesday, March 7th, 2007Scientists are about to send a robot to peer through a hole in the Earth’s crust. There’s a crack in the Atlantic Ocean’s floor that exposes the Earth’s mantle, something lava would normally have filled and sealed.
I expect the first pictures it sends back will look something like this:
