CNN has a timely Parenting article about what scares children and how to handle it. It’s not bad reading, and a lot of it rings true to my own experiences. But what they really need is a little more specific advice for dads.

Scientists are about to send a robot to peer through a hole in the Earth’s crust. There’s a crack in the Atlantic Ocean’s floor that exposes the Earth’s mantle, something lava would normally have filled and sealed.
I expect the first pictures it sends back will look something like this:

Pinheads are seeing the Virgin Mary in a pizza pan in Texas. The pan came from an elementary school cafeteria after a worker was rinsing it off.

A UFO site has posted some sketches of the UFO’s over O’Hare I talked about last month.
Is that really the best they could do? It looks like a bowl, and I suspect it wasn’t the only bowl being passed around the office.

Okay, probably not. But the big news going around is some United Airlines employees spotted a UFO flying over O’Hare. Even the television news outlets are picking it up.
